These socks are designed to be used as a protective holster liner for when you store your gun in its holster to help the holster maintain its shape. They help prevent direct contact between the guns metal and the holsters leather. They are especially helpful at protecting the blueing at contact points between the gun and the holster.
They can also be used as a protective cover for your gun with out a holster to keep out dust and help prevent scratches, much in the way a museum would store an item.
The socks are handmade of 100% breathable cotton flannel and are not treated. You can leave them dry or coat them with your choice of protectant. Most users leave them dry and just oil the gun, or spray the inside of the sock with a good silicone spray along with oiling the gun.
This sock fits the 4"-6" Luger, the Swiss Luger, Stoeger Lugers, Ermas, etc. We also have them for the 8" artillery Luger by request. If you have any questions about fitment, etc. Please feel free to ask and we will find an answer.
We also have socks to fit all other WWI, WWII side arms.
